My name is Nathan Kinkade. I am a Web Engineer at Creative Commons. I have worn a number of masks over the years. A brief chronology looks something like this: obtained a B.A. in History at Emory University –> moved to Daytona Beach, FL for about 1.5 years where I worked as an Oldsmobile mechanic at a dealership –> moved back to Atlanta, GA for about 10 months and continued to work as an auto mechanic –> moved to Portland, OR for about 1.5 years where I worked at a Chevrolet dealership for 1 week before getting a job at Columbia Sportswear Company, picked up some Microsoft Access experience at Columbia –> moved back to Atlanta for about 9 months where I somehow got a contract job doing Microsoft Access work –> moved back to Portland, OR for about 2 years where I worked a couple different technology jobs –> moved to St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands for about 4 or 5 months –> moved back to Portland, OR for a little over a year where I worked one tech job I didn’t like, quit and then signed up for the Peace Corps and waited around for 9 or 10 months and volunteered/worked at Free Geek –> moved to Belize, Central America to serve as an information technology Peace Corps Volunteer for 2 years –> moved to Guanajuato, Mexico for a semester to study Spanish –> moved to Panama, Central America for a little over a year and worked as a web developer and systems administrator for PanamaCOM –> moved back to Atlanta for about 3 months and looked for work –> found my present job at CC on idealist.org and moved to San Francisco where I lived for a little less than 1.5 years –> staying with CC, but tele-commuting, I moved to Miami Beach, FL where I presently reside.
