A lovely orchid starting to bloom in a palm outside my window. 4 flowers are open and there are still 8 more buds waiting to open, as well as an additional stem with yet another bud. It's difficult to see, but there is actually a second stem on the right with 4 more buds. If they all open, there will be 12 gorgeous purple blooms. This orchid bloomed last year as well, but a large storm ripped off the stem with the flowers. Hopefully that doesn't happen again this year.
